Coach Hayden Fry enjoyed a 20 year career coaching which included many All American players, 13 winning seasons and 14 Bowl appearances. Tippett was inducted into the College Football HOF in 2003. Andre Tippett received All American Honors and a BIG TEN championship while at the University of Iowa. In 2008 he was inducted into the Pro Football HOF. Paul Krause earned All American Honors as a two way starter, and as a senior tied a record with 6 touchdown pass receptions while at the University of Iowa. John Niland was an All American Offensive Lineman for the Hawkeyes. He is the only Offensive lineman ever drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the NFL Draft. |
